Emmanuel Baptist Church is an independant congregation that is completely separate from any centralized governing body. All decisions, including the calling of a pastor, are made by the congregation as a whole. In fact one of the things that defines ourselves, as Baptists, is the autonomy of the local church.
This does not mean, however, that we embrace isolation. That is why we are a member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches. We believe in synergy, and realize that by aligning ourselves with other Bible believing Baptist churches, we can prove the motto of the GARBC, "Together we can accomplish more."
We believe that by expanding our sense of community, and pooling resources with other like churches, we can improve our ministry to our own community as well as the rest of the world.
